    Digital Media Strategist

    A Digital Media strategist is responsible for managing digital media strategy and implementation on an account or portfolio of accounts.

    They are also responsible for ensuring client satisfaction through delivery of appropriate strategies, excellent service and all media objectives.
    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • A digital media strategist with a minimum of 4 years digital experience.
    • Ability to manage the team of digital strategists/project managers/campaign managers.
    • Ability to deal at a senior level with clients

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    •       Establish the overall strategic digital media approach and the overall media planning for the account/portfolio.
    •        Approve the key digital strategic elements of media plans and through internal briefings and inter-functional communication, monitors the implementation process to ensure delivery against business objectives
    •        Work with outside agencies, including but not limited to those such as creative, social media, search and PR partners and client marketing teams to establish media goals, objectives and strategies and provide leadership when necessary in developing, negotiating and implementing creative media solutions.
    •        Develop and maintain senior client relationships, attend, present and provide counsel at all significant agency-client media meetings.
    •        Play a key role in monitoring profitability including looking for growth potential within existing account and aid in related accountability and billing.
    •        Responsible for overseeing the implementation of all components of the media plan and ensure all media deliverables are met on time and within budget for all agency’s clients.
    •        Constructively negotiating with suppliers and other external partners to secure optimal campaigns across multiple platforms and maintain effective, collaborative business relationships in the best long-term interests of the agency.
    •        Proactively identifying new opportunities and new modes of digital media that offer a strategic advantage to the account/portfolio.
    •        Recruit, develop, motivate, direct, manage, monitor, evaluate, mentor and support the digital team on the account/portfolio as required to fulfil clients’ requirements. Discipline if necessary.
