Draughtsman(P&ID) at Watershed Consulting

An Opportunity awaits at a Dynamic Company for a Hardworking, Organized Team Player with immaculate Attention to detail to take on the role of Design Draughtsman to assist in the preparation of all required Designs and Documents for the completion of Tenders & Contracts for Project Services.

Role Responsibilities:

• 3D modelling of custom engineered products 
• Piping & Instrumentation Design
• General Arrangement Drawings
• Layout & Manufacturing Drawings
• Ensure designs conform to Internal Standards
• Generation and management of project equipment / line / valve schedules as required 
• Ensure the complete design meets clients / internal design specifications 
• Generating complete design data pack for the manufacturing and assembly of a plant 
• Selection of mechanical equipment as well as the sourcing of equipment (pumps, valves) where specialist/none standard items are needed. 
• Create detailed production & site work drawings
• Carry out quality control inspections on fabrication activities  
•  Make sure all designs are intrinsically safe for operators 
• Ensure all designs allow for a high quality of final products
• Take full ownership of the fabrication of designs from start to finish.
• Communicate with the projects and production team effective to ensure alignment of the client requirements with the final product as well as effective flow of information  

Minimum Requirements:

• Draughting qualification (MDDOP) 
• BTech / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering 
• Minimum of 5 years experience  in 3D Modelling and Piping experience on Inventor or equivalent 
• Autodesk Vault and Content Centre (Inventor, Plant 3D)
• Excellent Attention to Detail
