Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric certificate or relevant diploma/certificate in draughting or engineering
• Completed drafting courses or technical training related to CAD and engineering drawings
• Formal qualification or certification in SolidWorks is advantageous
• 3 - 5 years’ proven experience as a draftsman in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Experience working with SOLIDWORKS CAD software for 2D and 3D modelling
• Hands-on experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
• Strong background in manufacturing processes and CNC machining operations
• Previous experience signing off and approving technical drawings is essential

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings and technical documentation using SOLIDWORKS
• Manage and control drawing revisions and maintain version history through PDM systems
• Review, check, and approve technical drawings ensuring compliance with engineering standards and specifications
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure drawings are accurate and manufacturable
• Interpret design briefs, specifications, and technical data to create detailed drawings
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during the production process
• Ensure drawings comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Identify and resolve design or drafting issues proactively
• Maintain organized records of all signed-off drawings and documentation for audits and quality assurance
