Driver (BL) at Implats

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• To deliver all goods to the various departments within the Refineries in accordance with the company procedure and to collect goods from or deliver goods to suppliers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Completed Grade 12 certificate essential.
• Valid Code C1 driver's license with Public Driver's Permit (PDP) is essential.
• Valid forklift license and warehouse qualification will be an advantage.
• 1 year driving experience with light/heavy duty vehicles.
• Knowledge of material handling and safe stacking practices.
• Knowledge in handling hazardous substances and health and safety standards.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Medically fit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivering all goods loaded onto the store vehicles;
• Load goods and material into cages and trucks using a forklift;
• Transport material and equipment using a light delivery vehicle/truck.
• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and adhere to Road Traffic Regulations.
• Perform all activities according to Health and Safety standards.
• Ensure good housekeeping.
