Ensure daily completion of deliveries by receiving assigned products, verifying the integrity of explosives seals, confirming delivery addresses, planning efficient routes, delivering to designated locations, and obtaining proof of delivery.
Maximise delivery efficiency by correctly loading products into the delivery vehicle, organizing routes strategically, and strictly adhering to public traffic laws and CIE explosives transport regulations.
Assist in the safe offloading of products by confirming the offloading plan with recipients, securing the offloading area, following all required safety protocols, and executing the offload according to the agreed step-by-step process.
Maintain full vehicle compliance by completing daily inspection checklists, ensuring the validity of the driver’s license and Explosives Operators Card, and checking the condition and presence of required safety equipment such as fire extinguishers.
Accurately maintain the driver’s logbook each day by recording deliveries completed, distances traveled, and any other relevant trip information, and submitting the log in the required format by the agreed deadline.
Monitor and report fuel usage by maintaining a fuel consumption log that includes fuel costs, mileage per tank, and other relevant data, and ensure timely submission in the prescribed format

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

2+ years’ experience as a driver
1+ experience in explosives product handling and emergency processes (Hazchem)
2+ years’ experience as a driver within a supply chain explosives environment
