Reddford House Blue Hills is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Development Teacher to join the school on a full-time, permanent basis from 1 January 2025. The successful candidate will promote the holistic development, progress, and wellbeing of young learners, creating a nurturing and engaging environment aligned with the ethos and standards of Inspired Education. This role plays a key part in establishing strong foundations for learning, ensuring every student is supported to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons.
Teach within a Reggio-inspired environment and support child-centred learning.
Establish a nurturing classroom climate that promotes active and meaningful engagement.
Model professional conduct regarding punctuality, standards of work, behaviour, and homework.
Evaluate, reflect on, and continually refine teaching practice.
Participate in school and personal professional development initiatives.
Teach extra lessons or extra-murals on two afternoons per week, as required.
Produce high-quality learning resources for students.
Respond to parent communication (email or telephone) within 24 hours.
Demonstrate loyalty and professionalism across all facets of school life.
Attend school events and special occasions as requested by the Head.
Set and mark assessments and other forms of evaluation.
Write report comments and maintain accurate learner records.
Undertake any reasonable tasks as directed by the School Head or line manager.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Ability to set clear expectations and stretch learners appropriately.
Adaptable teaching style that incorporates feedback and reflection.
Strong subject understanding and sound judgement of learning effectiveness.
Excellent lesson preparation, planning, and assessment skills.
Genuine care for student welfare and holistic development.
Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience.
Confidence using ICT in teaching and learning.
Experience with Reggio-inspired programmes and/or in a high-performing international school.
University degree in a relevant field and certified teaching status/SACE registration.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents.
Strong organisational skills and a positive, growth-focused mindset.
