    Education Learning and Development Lead

    Key areas of responsibility are, but not limited to:

    • Liaise with the Education and Impact Division, Heads of Department, to get a clear view on their hiring needs relative to the organisational goals.
    • Collaborate with the Talent Department on screening and evaluation requirements.
    • Screen candidates and assess applicants' knowledge, skills, and present shortlisted candidates to Heads of Department or assigned hiring manager.
    • Review pre-employment competency tests and videos, and conduct applicant preliminary interviews as required.
    • Develop a sustainable candidate lead strategy and maintain a database/bench of qualified professionals to rapidly respond to talent management needs.
    • Gain a full working knowledge of each Department to work alongside leadership teams to design effective training programmes.
    • Develop, manage and implement learning and development strategy for the Division.
    • Assess employee needs for continued professional development.
    • Carry out research and incorporate new methodologies for effective development and overall growth.
    • Develop and facilitate training initiatives and review and select external training materials as required.
    • Update training initiatives on an ongoing basis to ensure they remain relevant.
    • Evaluate effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
    • Record and report training courses, schedules, and results; and share these with the management on a regular basis.
    • Improve organisation attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices that support professional development.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Education or minimum of 5 years related experience.
    • Experience managing a team.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
    • Understanding of recruitment processes.
    • Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation.
    • Experience in developing and implementing learning and development initiatives.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of effective instructional models and resources.
    • Good understanding of organisational growth.
    • Familiarity with social media and other professional networks.
    • Strong decision-making skills.
    • Self-motivated, strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
    • The ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated ability to multitask, strong organisational skills and flexibility to adapt and change priorities with limited notice.
    • A creative and entrepreneurial approach, and willingness to innovate and take measured risks.
