Electrical Engineer (Consulting) at Helderberg Personnel

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering & Design

• Design MV/LV electrical reticulation networks for residential, commercial and industrial developments
• Prepare electrical engineering designs, specifications and technical reports
• Design building services including power distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, lighting and associated electrical infrastructure
• Incorporate electronic building services including fire detection, CCTV, access control and Building Management Systems
• Conduct master planning and infrastructure assessments where required

Project Leadership

• Manage projects from concept through construction and final commissioning
• Liaise with clients, municipalities, contractors and multidisciplinary consulting teams
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with applicable engineering standards
• Maintain exceptional quality, compliance and technical excellence throughout every project

Candidate Profile

• A technically strong consulting engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while building long-term client relationships.

Requirements

• BEng, BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering
• Approximately 5–7 years' consulting engineering experience
• Strong experience within building services and electrical reticulation
• Professional Registration (Pr.Eng / Pr.TechEng) advantageous, or actively progressing towards registration
• Excellent communication, project management and client liaison skills
• High level of technical competence and engineering judgement
