Electrical Engineer/Draughtsman - JHB at Pollock & Associates

Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering or Electrical Qualification with proficiency in AutoCAD 

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems from 400 volts to 33kV.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical safety regulations and health standards.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and managerial skills.
• Ability to stay up to date with the latest developments in electrical systems and best practices.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative abilities. 

Key Result Areas:

• Collaborate with clients and engineers to define project requirements.
• Create detailed technical wiring and power layout diagrams and specification sheets.
• Estimate power generation and consumption needs accurately.
• Calculate the required materials and equipment for projects.
• Generate comprehensive technical specification documents, installation guides, and user manuals.
• Ensure that all electrical plans conform to regulatory and safety standards.
• Supervise the installation and construction of electrical systems and equipment.
• Address and resolve any electrical planning issues, proposing effective solutions.
• Prepare precise Electrical Manufacturing drawings.
• Design and draft electrical drawings with precision and attention to detail.
• Develop and prepare technical specifications and engineering drawings for various projects.
