Electrical Engineering Lecturer (PL1) at Thekwini TVET College

Requirements: 

•  Matric or equivalent  Recognized and relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field (REQV 13) 
•  Advanced Diploma in Technical Vocational Training / Diploma in Secondary or Higher Education  
•  Valid SACE registration (not provisional registration) 
•  Relevant Trade Test Certificate will be an added advantage 
•  Teaching experience will be an added advantage 
•  Sound subject knowledge and work-related applications 
•  Proficiency and ability to lecture Electrical Engineering subjects  incl. Mathematics N1 - N4, Engineering Science N1 – N4 and Power Machines 
•  Computer literacy (MS Office) 
•  Passion for teaching and learning 
•  Customer care; leadership and management skills; assertiveness; good record keeping and administrative skills; be a team player, have passion for learning and teaching; as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Result Areas: 

•  Assist with enrolment, registration and induction of students 
•  Teaching and learning delivery  Assess and evaluate student progress  Monitor student attendance register 
•  Maintain student attendance and performance records 
•  Creating classroom environment conducive to teaching and learning 
•  Provide feedback to students regarding their performance and progress 
•  Liaise with Senior Lecturers, Head of Division and Student Support Services officials in providing support interventions to students 
•  Invigilation duties.
