Electrician Low Voltage x1 at Gamagara Local Municipality

Requirements:

• Trade Test; Code C1 Drivers Licence. Proficiency in MS Office application; Excellent organizational and administrative skills; Excellent analytic and problem-solving ability; High level of integrity, responsibility and confidentiality; Have ability to give attention to detail and be able to work under pressure; Report writing; Communication Skills; Ability to deal with conflict situations; Excellent Negotiation skills

Duties:

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair low-voltage electrical networks, equipment, service connections and streetlights. / Conduct fault-finding, testing, disconnections, reconnections and restoration of electricity supply. / Coordinate planned and emergency maintenance in accordance with applicable electrical and safety standards. / Inspect electrical installations, conduct COC inspections and verify new household and prepaid-meter connections. / Install, test, repair and replace electricity meters, cables, distribution boards and associated equipment. / Monitor municipal teams and contractors and inspect completed work before commissioning. / Maintain electrical asset registers and ensure the availability of emergency materials, tools and equipment. / Prepare work programmes, material requisitions, operational records and monthly reports. / Communicate outages, technical requirements and work progress to management, contractors, customers and the public
