Electronics Development Engineer at F&O Industrial Controls

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing production processes.
• Maintenance and support of existing product lines, which is focused on vehicle fire suppression.
• Design and development of new products, from concept to manufacture.
• Software development (embedded and PC)
• Liaising with customers on product requirements

Requirements:

• BEng. (Electronics) / BSc. Electronics / BTech. (Electrical Engineering) or similar.
• +3 years’ experience in developing electronic products.
• Ability to work independently.
• Understanding of Assembler (Atmel & MSP430) which most of the existing code has been developed in.
• Digital and analog experience.
• IOT experience.
• Schematic/ pcb layout (PCAD or other)
• Visual basic: Visual studio & VBA
• C / C++

The position is based in Observatory, Cape Town. Normal working hours is Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm however flexible working times can be negotiated.

NB: Potential candidates will be required to undergo some psychometric assessment to ensure suitability for role.
