    Email Marketing Specialist

    We’re looking for a passionate Email Marketing Specialist to join our Cape Town Marketing team. If you’re looking for an opportunity to make an impact and are passionate about data, segmentation, personalisation and customer experience, this is the perfect role for you.

    What will your day to day look like?

    • Create intelligent customer engagement initiatives through segmentation for all channels including email and website.
    • Collaborate with the Head of Brand and Content Manager to brief, project manage and execute unique CRM Campaigns that help build, maintain and grow the Travelstart and SafariNow client bases
    • Create life stage segment programs to build CRM campaigns for new, active, loyal and dormant players.
    • Technical management of CRM processes across email, web push, app push and on-site.
    • Improve and increase customer lifetime value by building, testing and managing email campaigns to increase user engagement and awareness.
    • Prepare a detailed Implementation Plan (for each CRM Campaign) - complete with its own set of objectives (expressed in terms of volumes, revenues, or market share or target market reached), bases for recommendation, scope and coverage, mechanics and details of implementation/execution, communication of the program to its target market, detailed timetables, logistics and spending schedules and total budgets.
    • Develop, secure approval and monitor budget for assigned CRM projects. Ensures that budget is based on sound business rationale, directly links to financial objectives and parameters.
    • Provides measures on monitoring effectiveness of CRM campaigns, provides data requirements and executes hygiene initiatives.
    • Breakdowns, segments, and evaluates/analyses the information along with member/customer history and provide results that can be used for marketing
    • Design methodology, presents results, provides insights and recommendations, regular updates, measures regional results semi-annually.
    • Perform customer data mining and analysis, and provide updated customer profile.
    • Guard data integrity/hygiene; recommends enhancements to keep data clean/valid, etc.; monitors database health; provides regular customer data profile report.
    • Provide insights; Identify process improvement, refine program mechanics, use customer data to recommend strategies, triggers that will engage customers to avail more products, predict possible churn.

    Key skills & qualifications you'll need:

    • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Management or equivalent programs.
    • Good knowledge of HTML/CSS is a prerequisite
    • 3-4 years’ experience in CRM marketing.
    • 1-2 years’ experience in the travel industry to your advantage
    • 2 years’ experience working on technical marketing projects eg: CMS, CRM, App
    • Proven track record of working on successful CRM campaigns
    • Experience building and managing multiple online advertising and CRM campaigns
    • Experience working with outside vendors including affiliate networks, publishers and creative agencies
    • Excellent written English and communication skills.
    • Computer skills with standard programs like Excel, Word and Photoshop.
