Provide technical expertise and recommendations in managing support and new initiatives to enhance our existing Microsoft based systems.
Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
Coordinate application development for multiple projects if required.
Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.
Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
Participate in meetings with other IT teams to discuss progress and issues to be resolved.
Participate on IT project steering committees and be involved in the design phase of any new IT software development projects.
Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications where required.
Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues.
Ensure appropriate standards and procedures are adhered to during the development process to support a quality deliverable.
Deliver services within operating budgets.
Manage operational risk and controls taking proactive action where necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred – Bcom (or B degree) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering.
Experience with cloud computing.
Experience with Wintel systems, design and architecture.
Min – 4 to 5 years in a technical management role. Certification in Azure and or similar cloud computing and server.
Good communicator and people skills.
Strategic/holistic/broad minded thinker able to convince with little or no authority Must have innate curiosity of how things work Tough enough to challenge the 'built by us" syndrome thrives on ambiguity of structure, authority and resources.
Experience in managing the output of multiple vendors.
