Enterprise & Supplier Business Development Director at Tiger Brands

THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

The Group SSED Director will drive  the Tiger Brands ESD Strategy and manage the  implementation of ESD programme across Tiger Brands. Additionally, provide leadership in development of ESD programme across Tiger Brands and ensure that supply chain transformation, commercial and developmental objectives are achieve in line with Tiger Brands corporate Strategy and BEE aspirations. The ESD programme will contribute to the organization’s objective of making Tiger Brands a “force for good” and establishing Tiger Brands as a leader in development of small black business, black farmers  and black distribution enterprises in the Food and Beverage sector in South Africa

RESPONSIBILITIES
WHAT YOU WILL DO : 

•  Create, implement and evolve the organisation’s ESD strategy
•  Develop annual ESD implementation plans
•  Develop functional ESD commercial initiatives
•  Develop functional ESD commercial strategies and relevant programmes across business units
•  Develop corporate preferential procurement strategies that incorporates commodity preferential procurement tactical plans
•  Develop and execute on the following, but not limited to,:
•  Business Units ESD projects and programmes.
•  ESD Agriculture Development Programme
•  Entrepreneurship programme at site level
•  Community Enterprise Development initiatives
•  Funding recruitment for all beneficiaries from Dipuno and other funding institution
•  Channel Development initiatives that promote and develop black distributors
•  Drive securing of strategic partners with public and private sectors partners, to enhance delivery of Tiger Brands ESD programme
•  Monitor procurement division implementation of BEE spend
•  Deliver on ESD communication and PR initiatives, in collaboration with the Communications division
•  Development and drive execution Market Access initiatives
•  Compile the ESD report for Chief of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer, EXCO and  Social, Ethics and Transformation Committee
•  Drive development of Dipuno Fund annual plans aligned to Tiger Brands ESD plans and oversight of Dipuno Fund implementation and achievement of the agreed annual plans
•  Management of Management Trainees and ESD Specialists within the ESD Division
•  Management of ESD scorecard delivery
•  Management of ESD budgets
•  Management of ESD audit process
• Act as the primary liaison between Tiger Brands and ESD implementing service providers for ESD projects, and manage all ESD Service Providers and Strategic Partners Agreements

Experience

•  A business relevant degree
•  A minimum of 8-10 years prior experience in ESD, community development and/or sustainable development
•  Experience in BBBEE codes and BBBEE accreditation
•  Track record of developing integrated and sustainable projects that have a measured impact
