Grade 12, National Diploma in Environmental Studies/ Science and Management; Professionally registered as Candidate Natural Scientist would be an added advantage;
3 Years' experience; Computer literacy (MS Office Applications) ; Valid Driving License Code 1O; No criminal record; Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Eastern Cape (read, write and speak)
Key Performance Areas:
Conducting Feasibility Studies on Environmental Management Project for the institution.
Establish plans and procedures that contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Institution and supports accomplishment of Service Delivery objectives as outlined in the integrated Development (IDP) and adopted Environmental Sector Plans
Coordinate and facilitate environmental awareness programmes
Conduct regular environmental audits and Inspections at landfill, construction sites and other institutional sites to ensure there environmental requirements are adhered to.
Development of environmental sector plans
Provision of inputs and comments to Environmental Impact Assessments
Facilitates the development and implementation of biodiversity management and conservation
