    Environmental & Social Team Leader

    Job Responsibilities
    Project Management

    • Oversee assignments from start to end
    • Organize the team for the assignment, act as a technical expert within the project delivery team, join site visits, draft relevant deliverable sections
    • Undertake and manage the quality review of project deliverables according to the RINA QA/QC procedure
    • deliver the level of performance requested by RINA, achieving KPIs related to your unit
    • Collaborate effectively with the global EHSS team and fellow leaders across the business for mutual success
    • Manage the RINA project control database, including budget allocation on proposals, periodic check of ongoing projects, issuance of invoices, etc. Staff Management:
    • Identify and recruit prospective employees, conduct interviews, support HR for the hiring process
    • Attend regular internal management meetings
    • Effective allocation of team members to ongoing projects/proposals in line with RINA targets
    • Training on-the-job, mentoring, knowledge transfer Business Development:
    • Identify Lenders and Investors driven opportunities in the region
    • Identify & meet new prospective clients in their regional hubs and throughout Africa in general
    • Monitor open tenders
    • Upon receipt of a RfP, appoint the proposal team, identify the best team for the assignment, prepare and/or review technical and financial proposals
    • Engage with clients to negotiate service agreements supported by the Corporate Legal office
    • Represent RINA at relevant technical conferences, meetings and events

    Required Profile

    • MS or MA degree in an environmental/social sciences, health and safety or related engineering subject
    • Excellent knowledge of environmental, health and safety management systems, practical experience in EHSS due diligence/audits of various assets/facilities/infrastructures
    • Working experience and knowledge of IFC/ADB/EBRD/Equator Principles or other Lenders’ environmental, social, health and safety standards
    • Proven ability to achieve business’ targets (order intake, revenues, profit), working with several projects simultaneously under time pressure
    • Proven experience in a E&S leadership position, including experience and ability to manage a team of qualified professional and external consultants
    • Experience and ability to establish and manage clients’ relationships and win work
    • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with external customers
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Excellent command of English, both written and oral. Knowledge in other languages is highly appreciated
    • Availability to travel internationally for project needs and for short term assignments
