    ER Coordinator - Mining Industry

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement ER Policies and Procedures
    • Ensure ER compliance to all agreements.
    • Conduct ER survey when necessary.
    • Keep track and update the issue register.
    • Compile relevant ER reports as required.
    • Coordinate and schedule Central Participative Forum and monitor Shaft and Plant Partnership Forum Meetings
    • Keep track of Union leave as per the recognition agreement.
    • Build strong and sound ER relationships
    • Foster a sound relationship between employees and supervision.
    • Constantly monitor and gather intelligence regarding the ER climate in the mine
    • Revise agreements and ER-related Procedures as required.
    • Arrange and handle Dispute meetings and special meetings.
    • Coordinate operational ER issues.
    • Chair Union meetings and liaise with Site Shop Stewards
    • Advise and consult with line management and HR practitioners.
    • Preparation and upkeep of a strike diary during strike actions.
    • Special duties as may be required during strike action, work stoppages, and community unrest
    • Dissemination of ER-related information to line and HR
    • Take part in wage and other negotiations as and when required.
    • Revise and update the Disciplinary Code as and when there are amendments to statutes
    • Monitor the adherence to the Disciplinary and Grievance processes by ER Officers
    • Overall Coordinate and administrate disciplinary cases done by ER Officers
    • Ensure speedily, procedurally, and substantively fair discipline.
    • Advise the complainant, Alleged accused, and Chairperson.
    • Ensuring the capturing of initial and completed cases on the system.
    • Ensuring the filing of disciplinary records in employee files
    • Prepare, schedule, and present CCMA cases.
    • Coordinate and monitor Grievances arranged by the ER Officer
    • Management of direct reports: ER Officers and Clerks
    • Guide and advise ER/HR Officers on ER-related matters

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant Degree in Industrial Relations
    • At least 5 years of experience in ER within the mining industry
