Drive sales and profitability targets by optimizing sales opportunities through distributor management
Ensure delivery of the volume and value targets to achieve the Business Plan
Ensure requirements of distributors are met by wholesale & retail product selection, availability, and the store opening environment are planned through the cross matrix functions
Monitor market development country-by-country, recommend and implement adequate business models
Define the position of the product with the distributor (good, better, best). Adapt the line to suit retail/wholesale format
Ensure account, marketing and assortment plans are in place that provide effective sell-through account management
Collaborate effectively with Trade Marketing in order to ensure doors are equipped with an appropriate Retail format and organize Retail training
Build excellent distributor relationships to establish and maintain customer and consumer satisfaction
Ensure requirements of our customers are met by retail product selection, availability, and the store operating environment in line with LRN and Retail Segmentation criteria
Control, monitor and guide customers A&P spending within their business targets
Deliver market intelligence to Distributor management based on feedback from distributors and consumers
Identify new store locations while applying consistent qualitative and commercial benchmarks
Strong internal relationships with the key stakeholders (Retail, Brand and Trade Marketing, Merchandising and Finance) enabling achievement growth targets in-line with projected plan and financial KPI’s
Qualifications and Experience:
Tertiary Qualification – Retail/Sales qualifications will advantageous.
At least 6-8 years Account Management experience in African countries
Proven experience in managing stakeholders at all levels, preferably in account management
Effective multi-tasker, with strong ability to interact with multi-functional stakeholders
Proven ability to build partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Proven excellent communication and negotiation Skills.
Africa market knowledge a must, understand the currency and economic, environmental & cultural factors
Must be Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
The suitable candidate must be in possession of a valid driver’s license and own transport.
