    Facilities Administrator

    Howden Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Facilities Administrator to be responsible for the administrative functions related to Facilities Management and any other admin functions to support Management.

    What needs to be done?

    • Asset Management: To tag and scan all assets details into the system, for easier tracking of the company assets. To maintain a fixed asset register of all the company assets in compliance with FRS accounting standards and SARS requirements. To perform annual review of useful life and residual value in compliance with IFRS.
    • Cleaning: Ensure the site is clean, sanitised and rodent free. Draft, maintain and update cleaning site cleaning plans and procedures. Maintain and update cleaning equipment register. Evaluate incidents and determine the course of action. Arrange for Ad Hoc cleaning of carpets, chairs and premises. Interact with the Departments to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.
    • Projects related to Facilities: Lead the planning and implementation of projects. Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables. Define project tasks and resource requirements. Assemble and co-ordinate project staff, both internally as well as externally. Manage project budget. Constantly monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs. Project evaluations and assessments of results.
    • Lease Agreements, Supply Agreements and SLA’s: Maintain the documentation related to Lease Agreements, Supply Agreements and SLA’s. Ensure the canteen facility operates within the limits of the contract.
    • HPA Limits of Authority: Update the Limits of Authority for HPA in line with the Group Limits of Authority. Distribute the HPA limits of Authority document monthly.
    • General: Monitor and control Staff Parking. Monitor and update the HPA CSD (Central Supplier Data Base) Registration.
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in compliance with company policy to ensure a safe working environment. Committee member of the COVID 19 Committee for Booysens, and Site/EHS/HR meetings.

    What do you need to bring?

    • Grade 12/ Matric
    • 5 years experience managing facilities (Premises,)
    • Supervisory experience including coaching staff for improved performance
    • Driver’s License
    • Computer literate – Microsoft Office Suite and an accounting package.
    • Negotiating skills
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Results orientated with good time management skills.
