Job Advert Summary

• An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Manager responsible for the supervision of allocated partly skilled staff e.g. general workers in the washbay.
• Assists in the reallocation of staff in times of absence or shortages.
• Ensures high standard of vehicle cleanliness,compliance with ISO and SQAS standards, operational efficiency and exceptional staff perfomance.
• The incumbent will manage internal teams, control external washbay costs, drive turnaround time performance, and maintain strict housekeeping and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum qualification: Diploma / NQF 5
• Experience in a similar role: Up to 6 years experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Team Leaders and support them in managing Wash
• Ensure compliance with ISO and SQAS standards across all wash trypes(chemical, food-grade, external,etc.)
• Monitor and control external washaby costs, ensuring service providers deliver to standard and within budget.
• Track and report turnaround times, actively seeking improvements in speed and efficiency.
• Manage daily and weekly operational reporting via WhatsApp and Excel, escalating concerns as needed
• Perform weekly stock checks, control chemical and PPE usage, and ensure availability of consumables.
• Monitor time and attendance of staff, resolve issues, and ensure shift coverage is maintained
• Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance of equipment and escalate technical issues
• Conduct site visits, maintain positive client relations, and resolve operational issues professionally
• Lead and in still a strong housekeeping culture, ensuring washbays remain clean, organized, and audit ready.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards; lead regular toolbox talks and safety checks
• Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, and performance excellence across all washbay teams
