Facilities Technician - 2 year FTC at De Beers Group

Job Description:
You will improve quality and productivity designing, constructing, commissioning, modifying and maintaining all non-specialist plants on site and installations in the Sample Treatment Centre and Indicator Mineral Laboratory. Ensuring that all machinery is functioning correctly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintenance of sites and facilities
• Development of plans and communication of problems to line manager to facilitate problem resolution
• Perform SLAMs (Stop-Look-Asses-Manage) and other risk assessments
• Maintain routine ECOHS and report risk system compliance

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 and trade certificate in Boiler making
• Previous working experience in a maintenance environment
• Competent operation of Forklifts, rigging, scaffolding, and working at heights would be advantageous.
• Experience with repair of Dense Media Separators/magnetic separators and/or heavy liquid separation equipment would be advantageous
