Fettler at Weir Minerals

Purpose of Role:

• To remove runners and risers and fettle to appropriate quality standards cast surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
• Inspection of tools before using, grinding and blending of parts, jackhammering of parts to remove burn on and sand lumps in parts and pencil grinding.
• To clean tight areas in parts.
• To use hammer and chisel to remove lumps in corners of parts.
• Good housekeeping in areas.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Valid forklift license advantageous.
