Field Service Planner at Epiroc

Mission

• Plan & coordinate service operations planning activities
• Support the Epiroc vision “Epiroc aims to be and remain customer’s first choice” by Customer-Value and a Customer Care driven culture. (E learning)
• Record and report monthly performance of service organization
• Support customer satisfaction development
• Interact with members of the Management Team and with employees in a-constructive way to achieve maximum results for the Parts & Services Division

Main Responsibilities Or Functions Of Job (describe Major Responsibilities)

• To plan Field Service activities, machine planning and forecast planning for the Parts & Services Division.
• Forecasting and tracking of resources, parts and consumables required for Internal and external jobs for field activities.
• Schedule monthly meetings with technicians based on activities and closing “GAPS”
• Receive customer scope of work and verify that information is complete and expected delivery dates are feasible.
• Provide regular updates of job progress and communicate delays or other challenges promptly to internal and external customers.
• Schedule monthly meetings to discussion KPI progress and activities, keep minutes and actions plan.
• Costing of Jobs.
• Providing weekly cost updates on WIP.
• Managing and controlling of Work In Progress (WIP).
• Maximize the overall utilization of the technicians to gain efficiencies and recoveries.
• Self-development – E learning and allocated training by Technical Support Manager
• Continuous improvements on processes, procedures and growing of the field service foot print with the support of the Technical support manager.
• Will carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of “The Epiroc Way”.

Required Skills And Capabilities

• Experience in Planning and Scheduling for field activities.
• Compilation of SOM and scope of work quotations and job cost analyses.
• High level of computer literacy, MS Excel, Project, Word, Power Point etc.
• ERP System knowledge and/or experience.
• Self-starter, analytic and results driven.

Educational Qualification

• N6 Marketing
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in Field Service/Maintenance planning.
• Project Management Certificate will be added advantage.
