FINANCE MANAGER (HOSPITALITY BUSINESS) – PRIVATE GROUP OF COMPANIES WITH UK AND INTERNATIONAL INTERESTS IN A RANGE OF BUSINESSES SEEKS AN FINANCIAL MANAGER FOR ITS HOSPITALITY AND WINE BUSINESS. 

Position will be based in Hermanus, South Africa

Business activities: Managing all accounting functions for Benguela Cove which has interests in hospitality and dining, wine sales and wine production, property, hotel and accommodation.

We are looking for a candidate that demonstrates strong core accounting/finance/compliance skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and strong commerciality. In common with many private companies, the FM also has involvement with HR and IT (working with the group’s HR and IT managers).

THE POSITION

This is a broad Finance position and a key position within the group. You will work closely with our group MD’s and Group Financial Managers.

Responsibilities include supervising accounting staff in SA, implementing and overseeing reporting lines and internal control, weekly/monthly/statutory reporting, project appraisal and feasibility studies, cost control, insurance and risk management.

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates should be a qualified accountant with commercial and managerial experience but be prepared to “roll your sleeves up”. You should be a team player, technically strong with management experience, good people facing and communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced and varied commercial environment.
