Key Purpose:
- The Finance Planner: Reporting role acts as a bridge between finance data and business performance, ensuring that leadership has accurate, insightful, and actionable financial information to drive decision-making and maintain control excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
Monthly Financial Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Compile and consolidate monthly financial reports for identified functions, incorporating commentary and insight on key variances, risks, and opportunities.
Financial Insight Translation & Business Support
- Translate financial data into actionable insights in collaboration with operations teams to drive performance improvements and cost management.
Standardised Reporting Tools & BI Development
- Design and implement BI dashboards and reporting templates aligned to CCBSA’s cost centre structures and reporting guidelines to improve data accessibility and decision-making.
Operational Coaching & Reporting Enablement
- Coach and train operational leaders on newly developed financial reporting tools and processes to build financial capability and ownership.
Cross-Platform Financial Alignment
- Process adjustments and ensure alignment of management reports with statutory reporting platforms to maintain data integrity across systems.
Benchmarking & Industry Analysis
- Source relevant financial data and participate in benchmarking exercises to identify gaps and improve alignment to industry best practices.
Governance & Risk Control Compliance
- Implement RACM controls, perform quarterly self-assessments, and support internal and external audit processes to ensure IFRS-aligned reporting and risk mitigation.
General Ledger & Stock Control Oversight
- Compile GL reconciliations for designated accounts and attend full-stock counts to ensure accurate inventory and asset reporting in compliance with control frameworks.

Skills, Experience & Education
Education
- BCom Honours in Accounting or Financial Management
- CA(SA) or CIMA certification (advantageous)
Experience
- 2–3 years post-qualification experience in financial management
- Experience in a complex reporting function (advantageous)
