    Process Control Engineer

    Key Purpose

    • The Process Control Engineer ensures the reliability, optimisation, and standardisation of all Control & Automation systems across manufacturing. The role develops and maintains C&A standards, leads automation improvement initiatives, and ensures system integrity from PLCs to plant-level software.     Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Key Outcomes:

    Consumer Complaint Management

    • Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming consumer complaints and queries via phone, email, digital platforms, or external agencies.
    • Log complaints accurately into consumer care or quality systems and assign case numbers for traceability.
    • Acknowledge receipt, keep consumers informed, and close cases with appropriate resolution and tone.

    Investigation and Resolution Support

    • Coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to obtain product samples, investigate root causes, and provide factual responses.
    • Facilitate retrieval and delivery of suspect products for evaluation by internal labs or quality teams.
    • Support plant teams by providing relevant market complaint data and consumer insights.

    Consumer Engagement and Brand Experience

    • Represent the Coca-Cola brand with empathy, professionalism, and responsiveness in all consumer interactions.
    • Resolve issues in line with corporate quality standards, brand tone, and consumer satisfaction principles.
    • Escalate sensitive or high-risk cases (e.g., foreign object, health concerns, social media threats) to the Trade Quality Specialist and relevant departments.

    Documentation and Record Keeping

    • Ensure that all complaint cases are properly logged, tracked, updated, and closed in the system with clear supporting documentation.
    • Maintain accurate complaint records for internal audits, reporting, and continuous improvement.

    Data Reporting and Insights

    • Monitor complaint trends and prepare weekly and monthly reports for internal stakeholders.
    • Highlight recurring or critical issues and contribute to data-driven quality improvements.
    • Participate in complaint root cause analysis sessions and CAPA follow-ups.

    Cross-Functional Support

    • Liaise with Customer Service, and Logistics to support consumer promotions, product recalls, or distribution challenges.
    • Assist in consumer engagement campaigns or education initiatives to enhance understanding of product quality.
    • Provide feedback to the Trade Quality Lead and manufacturing teams to prevent reoccurrence of product issues.

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    Education:

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Consumer Science, Quality Management, Food Technology, Communications, or related field
    • Certification in Customer Service or Complaint Handling (advantageous)

    Experience:

    • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a customer service, call center, or consumer care role, preferably within the FMCG, food & beverage, or retail sectors
    • Prior experience with complaint logging systems and working with cross-functional teams for resolution

    Skills:

    • Proficiency in CRM systems, SAP, or quality complaint platforms
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and customer-facing capabilities
    • Basic understanding of food safety and beverage manufacturing processes
    • Data entry, reporting, and analysis skills using Excel, dashboards, or similar tools

    Syrup Maker

    Job Description    

    • Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Process Support Department. We are looking for  talented individuals with relevant skills and experience for a Syrup Maker role, which is based in Devland. 

    Key Purpose

    • Accurate mixing and preparation of syrup batches
    • Ingredient and concentrate handling
    • Adherence to Coca-Cola Operating Requirements (KORE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
    • Operation and monitoring of syrup processing equipment
    • Execution of Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and sanitation protocols
    • Basic understanding of product quality standards
    • Documentation and traceability of all batch activities
    • Communication and coordination with production and quality teams.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Key Outcomes:

    Syrup Preparation

    • Prepare syrup batches in line with Coca-Cola product formulas and standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients and concentrates.
    • Validate the quality and conformity of raw materials before use.

    Process Compliance and Quality

    • Conduct in-process quality checks and report any deviations immediately.
    • Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene, and food safety requirements.
    • Record batch information accurately and completely for traceability.

    Equipment Operation and Cleaning

    • Operate syrup tanks, mixers, pumps, and filtration systems safely and efficiently.
    • Perform CIP and cleaning of equipment as per cleaning schedules and SOPs.
    • Maintain clean and orderly workstations and syrup rooms.

    Stock and Material Handling

    • Receive and verify raw materials and ingredients against batch requirements.
    • Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate shortages to the Team Leader.
    • Label and store all materials correctly to prevent contamination or spoilage.

    Health and Safety

    • Follow all safety protocols, including correct use of PPE, chemical handling procedures, and safe machine operation.
    • Report any unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents promptly.

    Skills, Experience & Education    
    Education

    • Minimum: National Certificate (Grade 12) with Maths and Science
    • Preferred: Certificate or Diploma in Food Technology, Chemical Processing, or related field

    Experience

    • 2–3 years’ experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
    • Experience in syrup preparation, liquid mixing, or formulation processes is an advantage
    • Exposure to food safety, GMP, and hygiene protocols

    Skills

    • Understanding of ingredient handling, mixing, and batch preparation
    • Basic knowledge of beverage processing and quality control principles
    • Ability to operate syrup production equipment and perform basic troubleshooting
    • Knowledge of CIP, sanitation processes, and chemical safety

    Sales Team Lead

    Key Purpose: 

    • The Sales Team Lead will implement and execute L&T strategies in the trade through effective management and coaching of team members (Merchandiser Order Takers) in order to achieve KPI’s.

    • Planning and Forecasting: Plan and review promotional grids and quarterly action plans. Use data (e.g., Nielsen, loyalty insights) to inform strategy and communicate performance with customers and leadership.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships through structured and informal engagements. Negotiate space for permanent, promotional, and ad hoc initiatives.
