Fleet Supervisor (5 Month Fixed Term Contract) at Rand Water

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Code EC driver’s license
• 2 years’ relevant experience in a fleet environment.
• 2 years relevant supervisory experience
• Relevant experience in a Transport Environment

Primary Duties

• Establish, monitor and maintain a quality transport service
• Initiate follow up and corrective action regarding vehicle/plant damage/losses
• Charge-out system correctly & effectively applied
• Provide a full spectrum of fleet management and management service for Rand Water vehicles
• Train and coach staff constantly
• Fleet control management
• Economical vehicle maintenance
• Motivate budget requirements and needs
• Ensure compliance with the financial regulations and standards of Rand Water
• Ensure correct allocation of network numbers and budget
• Comprehensive reports and advice (Technical, managerial and strategic)

Knowledge

• Working knowledge of the Road Traffic Act/Legislation and AARTO
• Working knowledge of SHEQ (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001)
• Computer literacy (Microsoft office package, Maximo & SAP)

Skills

• Communication skills (Verbal and Written).
• Administrative skills - Office duties, documentation, filling etc.
• Problem solving skills.
