    Foreman Instrumentation

    Work Output Description

    • The Foreman Instrumentation is a 2.9.2 appointment in terms of the MHS Act and is responsible to supervise artisans in the operations.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12/Matric certificate or NQF 4 Equivalent
    • Instrumentation Trade Certificate (Section 13 or Section 26D)
    • Engineering N4 Certificate or Higher (Instrumentation)
    • Foreman Certificate (With a 60% pass on Law and Standards)
    • 2 Years Supervisory Experience
    • 2 years Concentrator plant exposure experience
    • 3 Years’ Experience in a Mining Environment (Instrumentation)

    Advantageous

    • Registered as a Candidate or Professional Technician with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)

    Skills and Knowledge

    • MS Word; MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; Outlook
    • Understanding of PLC Siemens Step 7 and/or PCS 7 and WINCC SCADA
    • Understanding of the Instrumentation Networks i.e., PROFIBUS, ASI, Fibre Optics
    • Reading, Writing, and Communication Skills
    • Ability to work and cope under pressure
    • Good decision-making Skills
    • English Proficiency

    Physical/Legal Requirements

    • Clear Credit/Criminal Record
    • Code 08 Driving Licence
    • Fit for Duty/ Certificate of Fitness
