Required Skills

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years’ experience as a Forklift operator.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Knowledge and experience in a dry stores environment.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends and public holidays.
• Diligence and accuracy in daily functions.
• Punctuality and attendance reliability.
• Must be a team player.
• Willingness to do repetitive/routine work.
• Capability and capacity to learn quickly and apply and develop learning into role responsibilities and team.
• Be able to prioritize workloads and work under pressure
• Excellent problem solving skills 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Specific key performance areas include the following:
• Operating a forklift according to the warehouse/stores requirements and in accordance with relevant safety procedures
• Off-loading and loading of material within various departments.
• Complete daily check sheets on forklift equipment
• Responsible for forklift battery charging area
• Ensure that task are completed within the given time frame
• Maintain good housekeeping, including adherence to the stacking procedure.
• Assist with normal general tasks within the department if not driving. E.g. packing of orders, cleaning, stock count, checking of orders, writing down of rework pallets etc.
