Intermediate to Senior Front-End Developer

We are the world’s leading Cinema software supplier, and we are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our growing Digital team.

You will get the opportunity to work on award-winning projects with a team of back-end, front-end and full stack developers in an Agile environment building best-in-class cinema websites worldwide. Our portfolio includes clientele of various sizes, ranging from some of the largest cinema chains in Europe to renown arthouse brands in the USA. Projects involve understanding knowledge of the cinema industry, so you’ll be provided with excellent training and onboarding to get you up to speed and ready to contribute to our technically advanced cloud ready enterprise suite as soon as possible.

As a Front-End developer on the Digital team, you’ll be proficient with React, JavaScript, HTML, TypeScript and SCSS/CSS. Experience working with Webpack and single-page applications is a bonus. You’ll be collaborating with senior and junior developers to produce a code base that is high quality, maintainable, and always maturing. You’ll have experience with modern web development practices and be able to bring your own skills and perspectives to the table via whiteboarding sessions, peer programming, code reviews, and of course your own development time.

Key Skills

• Strong intermediate level React, JavaScript, HTML, Typescript, SCSS/CSS & ES6 Vanilla Javascript

• +4 year’s web front end development experience ideally in a commercial and/or ecommerce organisation

• Fundamental understanding of design principles and Web Development

• Good understanding of web markup

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them, including semantic markup

• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks

• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

• Proficient understanding of Git

• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Team player

• Ability to work to tight deadlines

• Understanding of Jira or similar
