    Functions Manager

    • We are seeking a Function Manager to take overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of catering functions. The successful candidate will ensure excellent service standards, efficient operations, and high levels of customer satisfaction in line with Tsebo values and policies.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Plan, coordinate, and manage catering functions and events from setup to breakdown
    • Ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet agreed standards and client expectations
    • Supervise and coordinate catering staff to ensure optimal staffing and productivity
    • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues
    • Monitor costs, stock usage, and portion control to support budget targets
    • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and Tsebo policies
    • Address customer feedback promptly and implement corrective actions where required

    Qualifications    

    • Relevant Culinary, Catering or Hospitality qualification
    • Proven experience managing catering functions or events in a hospitality or contract catering environment
    • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and health & safety regulations
    • Strong function planning and coordination skills
    • Ability to manage multiple events in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
    • Exposure to upmarket function catering  
    • Good at controlling costs & doing menu planning
    • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
    • Computer literate & excellent communication skill
