• SALARY: Post level T3 notch 1 (R138 576 -00 per annum)

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Basic Literacy 0–1 year of relevant experience required.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Maintenance and installation functions relating to the municipal water supply networks
• Maintenance and installation functions relating to the municipal sewage networks/system
• Performing labourer duties and tasks related to the installation and repair of sewage connections and well holes
• Maintenance and installation functions relating to the road and stormwater infrastructure/network of the municipality
• Sanitary functions relating to the removal of houses/businesses/garden rubbish, street cleaning and cleaning of public toilets
• Maintenance and establishment of municipal gardens, lawns and trees and irrigation systems
• Perform general labourer duties and tasks related to the care, storage and cleaning of the safety clothing, tools, equipment, vehicles and materials used for the above-mentioned work.
• Responsible for participating in the Municipality's Performance Management and Development System.

JOB PURPOSE:

• Performs general labor activities related to maintaining the cleanliness of streets, parks, and public open spaces, collecting waste from designated areas, maintaining and repairing roads, stormwater, and drainage systems, providing support during installation, repair, and maintenance of water reticulation systems, maintaining the cleanliness of cemetery grounds and sports grounds, and assisting in the collection and disposal of sanitation waste in accordance with the laid Instructions that support acceptable standard of service delivery.

COMPETENCY LEVEL:

• The level of competence for this position is at level 1 as determined in Schedule A of the Municipal Staff Regulations
