We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to join our newly created Group Technology function. Working closely and supporting the Chief Information & Data Officer you will push the boundaries of commercialising data across our product portfolio, transforming the way in which our customer interact with our platforms, you will have delivered projects that have a direct line to revenue generation. You will engage with R&D and stakeholders both internally and externally, to focus on revenue growth and drive augmented and autonomous intelligence through the ‘Power of Data’.

Key Responsibilities:
Duties include:
Develop Predictive Models: Create and implement predictive models to forecast market trends, competitor actions, and supply chain demands.
Prescriptive Analytics: Utilize prescriptive analytics to provide actionable recommendations for optimizing supply chain operations and strategic planning.
Data Collection and Cleaning: Gather, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure high-quality datasets for analysis.
Competitor Intelligence: Analyze competitor data to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and potential opportunities.
Supply Chain Forecasting: Develop and maintain models to predict supply chain needs, inventory levels, and demand fluctuations.
Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations to present complex data insights in an understandable and actionable manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to align data science initiatives with business goals.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in data science with a bias to software engineering AI/ML. Experience with predictive and prescriptive modelling is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Use of Databricks, proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with AI frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras. Use of LLMs Claude, Llama, Gamma, Qwen (Or equivalent), experienced data storyteller, databricks, Tableau, PowerBI
Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Oracle cloud for deploying AI models
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting with the ability to commercially determine the market value of data.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
