German Speaking IT Enthusiast at Redheads Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd

Our client is looking for someone  with a MINIMUM of:

• German High School Diploma
• Fluent German, including Business reading and writing
• Fluent English, including Business reading and writing
• Information Technology Qualification OR 2-3+ years minimum experience in IT support

Key Deliverables:

• Provide Production Support (IT) for all German locations
• Be the telephone call receipt of IT incidents related to production issues
• Pre-qualify IT-incidents and classify additional relationships
• Fix incidents in IT systems in accordance with manuals
• Monitor IT system error messages and process accordingly
• Provide guidance throughout the Incident management processes
• Initiate the IT escalation process, when required
• Process email requests
• Serve as an “Information channel” for Management and end-users
• Work shifts as part of a team providing 24 x 7 support

Skills including but not limited to:

• Strong Analytical skils
• Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, incl. client-server architectures
• Basic IT administration skills (e.g. LINUX / Windows)
• Experience with IT Customer service
• Experience with First level support (customer contact)
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work under pressure and be resilient in stressful situations
• Strong interpersonal skills, including Intercultural understanding
• Customer-oriented thinking and behaviour
• Very patient individual, with the ability to quickly defuse “volatile” situations
• Flexibility to take up different tasks in the team and be a team player
• Must be self-motivated and open to learn independently
• Willing to work shifts including evenings, weekends and Public holidays
