Graphic Designer (mid-level)

Babylonstoren is looking for a mid-level graphic designer to join our team – someone with an eye for detail, who eats, sleeps and breathes all things design. 

The successful candidate will assist the head Graphic Designer with day-to-day internal design work – overseeing projects from concept brief to print.

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Knowledge and experience of printing and preparing designs for print
• A presentable portfolio of work – specifically highlighting print work
• Great Adobe suite skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
• Good knowledge of typography with great attention to detail
• You’ve got loads of grit and you’re eager to learn
• Qualification in Graphic Design
• Illustration will be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Accurately roll out briefs across a variety of divisions with quick turn-around times
• Process monthly orders and signage requirements, keeping track of print processes and follow up with suppliers
• Update archive of all printing collateral
• Strong understanding of brand and application thereof
