Graphic Designer at Potentiam Limited

Purpose of role

• The Graphic Designer will support the Senior Designer in creating visual communications for both external and internal projects. As the company is currently undergoing an extensive rebrand, this presents an exciting opportunity for a creative Junior Designer to be part of a transformative process and contribute to establishing a new visual identity for the organization.
• The role will primarily focus on editorial design but will also work on a wide variety of creative projects, including marketing collateral, social media assets, email design, and internal branding materials. Given that the company is a market research and data analytics firm, a passion for working with and visualizing data is essential.

Duties and responsibilities

• Report to the Senior Designer and collaborate closely with the Marketing team.
• Support the development of the rebrand and the creation of new templates.
• Ensure editorial output aligns with and adheres to brand guidelines.
• Assist the Senior Designer in creating high-quality social media posts and campaigns.
• Take responsibility for sign-off on smaller projects, ensuring a cohesive visual identity.
• Apply analytical thinking skills to visualize data in the most concise and impactful way.
• Collaborate with the Commercial team to create and develop sales collateral.
• Build strong relationships across the company to develop new creative ideas and reinforce design principles.
• Assist in reviewing and developing internal documents with a focus on design.
• Maintain an organized and accessible file system for design assets, ensuring proper version control and consistent file naming conventions.

Skills/Experience 

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva
• Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, with experience in Word and Excel Charts (Intermediate Level)
• Experience with Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro is desirable
• Proficient understanding of design principles including layout, colour theory, typography, and composition.
• Ability to proactively contribute creative ideas and solutions during brainstorming sessions
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage workload
• Knowledge of design principles, typography, and layout techniques
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Previous experience working with a global team is an advantage
