• As the Group Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and group-level financial oversight. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

Taxation & Compliance

• Compilation and submission of tax computations (IT14s) for 15 group companies.
• Oversight of all taxation matters including VAT submissions for subsidiaries.
• Keeping up to date with current tax legislation and ensuring group compliance.
• Annual South African Reserve Bank (SARB) reporting and ongoing management of SARB authorities.

Financial Reporting

• Compilation of draft Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for 15 companies using Caseware.
• Preparation for annual audits, including the compilation and management of audit packs.
• Responsibility for intercompany cost allocations and reconciliations.
• Employee Trust Management
• Provide general accounting and financial support on an ad-hoc basis as required by the finance team or senior management.

Experience and Skills Required

• Bcom Accounting Degree Minimum
• Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience
