We are looking for a self-motivated, structured and resourceful Group Reporting Specialist to join our Finance team. This opportunity will allow you to join a well-established and supportive team focused on continuous improvement and high performance.
This role is an integral part of the finance function to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and financial reporting requirements within the group. The role will focus on financial consolidation, IFRS compliance across the group, working with multiple currencies, tax research in new regions and transfer pricing.
ROLE | WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Prepare consolidated group accounts on a monthly basis in line with IFRS requirements
Build out the group accounting function and processes required to report to Head Office
Set up entities in new regions for group financial reporting as well as local statutory compliance
Manage transfer pricing compliance
Manage intercompany accounting including billing, invoicing and banking
Loan and trade account reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of management accounts including posting of journal entries during month end/quarterly/annual reporting
Review and implement standard operating processes in line with finance best practices
Assist with implementation, monitoring and continuous development of our range of accounting tools
Drive automation and improvement of financial reporting
IDEAL CANDIDATE | WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Key requirements to perform responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
Experience working in a Commercial Finance team (3 - 5 years)
Experience with group consolidations
Experience working with multiple currencies and entities
Advanced Excel and Google Suite skills
Maintain excellent general ledger working practices
Must have a passion for accurate and complete financial reporting
Professional communication skills
Ability to work independently and remotely while also part of a team
Have a broad set of skills while still being able to up-skill yourself in new areas quickly and comfortably
Fantastic customer service ethic, high expectations for quality and attention to detail
Self-directed, willing to experiment and not afraid to fail
You don't mind getting your hands dirty
Experience with accounting system conversion and system change management
Experience using cloud accounting software
Experience working with CaseWare Financials
Professional Accounting Qualification (CA, CIMA, SAIPA)
Experience with group restructures
Experience in banking, payments or financial services
Experience in a fintech environment
