• A leading group of companies, providing process engineering and project delivery solutions within the mining and minerals sector is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Accountant to permanently join a leading organization in the project delivery sector. Reporting to the Group Assistant Financial Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) with at least 2 years of commercial experience to provide accurate financial reporting, analysis, and support to ensure efficient financial management and decision-making within a project-driven environment.

Duties:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards and regulations.
• Manage large data sets, providing detailed financial insights and reports.
• Support the Group Assistant Financial Manager in overseeing financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Work closely with corporate stakeholders to ensure transparency and clear communication of financial information.
• Ensure all financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) is accurate and delivered on time, meeting deadlines.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with internal controls, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Provide support and guidance to junior financial staff.

Qualifications & skills:

• A CA(SA) qualification is a must.
• At least 2 years of commercial experience, ideally in a project-based industry such as engineering, construction, or similar.
• Strong experience in working with large data sets, excellent analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively communicate and engage with corporate stakeholders.
• Excellent people skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Exposure to Australian accounting regulations or practices is an advantage.
