    Head: Group Talent: Group HR (Senior Management)

    About

    Sanlam was established as a life insurance company in South Africa but has since transformed into a diversified financial services group that operates across the African continent, India, Malaysia and selected developed markets, with listings on the Johannesburg, A2X and Namibian stock exchanges.     The five business clusters (Personal Finance, Investments, Emerging Markets, Corporate, and Short-term insurance) house the Group’s business operations. The Group Office serves as the ‘glue’ that keeps the Group together by providing strategic direction and support to the five clusters to assist them in meeting their business objectives. The Group Office is responsible for the Group’s centralised functions, which include: Finance, Actuarial and Risk Management, Information Technology, Human Resources, Market Development and Brand Services.

    What will you do?
    This role is responsible to lead Group Talent Management, in partnership with the Human Capital (HC) Leadership Team and business leaders. Ensure alignment of the talent management strategy with the business priorities. Accountability for this role includes Centre of Expertise (COE) for Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Performance Management and Organisation Design. Ensures integration of the talent management strategy with the moments that matter and employee experience.

    This role resides in the Group Office and reports to the Group Human Resources Director.

    These Are The Key Outcomes Expected From This Role

    • Develop Group Talent Management Strategy to support delivery of the Group Business Strategy
    • Ownership of the Organisation Design and strategic workforce planning practices, in partnership with the Head of Reward, Cluster HC Executives and business leaders
    • Ownership of the Employer Branding, Talent Attraction and Acquisition practice
    • Establish a Group approach to Assessments and contract appropriate providers to deliver on the mandate
    • Develop employee centric Onboarding strategy and practice
    • Custodian of the Group Performance Management framework to drive delivery of the business strategy and culture of high performance
    • Drives the delivery of the required talent pipeline through robust Succession Planning in partnership with the business clusters
    • Drive talent mobility across the Group (cross boarding and offboarding) through the Cluster HC Executives and business leaders
    • Reporting and measurement related to area of accountability
    • Develop and drive the employee experience roadmap, measurement and feedback

    Qualification And Experience

    • Tertiary qualification with at least 10 years related experience
    • A post-graduate qualification will be to your advantage

    Knowledge And Skills
    Strategic level knowledge and experience in the following core areas:

    • Extensive experience in Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Organisation Design
    • Prior experience in leading a Talent Management team
