    Head of Learnership Sales

    About The Role

    • Reporting to the VP of Revenue the Head of Learnerships (South Africa) will form part of the revenue leadership team. The role will see you work as both a player and a coach to set the go to market strategy, and team structure while also leveraging your consultative sales expertise to propel revenue growth and become a trusted partner to our customers. This is an opportunity to shape and build a team, with the potential to grow quickly as the department expands. You should have clear demonstrable experience in acquiring, maintaining, and growing corporate training clients across multiple verticals, and ideally have a foundational knowledge of the delivery requirements for regulatory compliance (eg. QCTO). You must be ambitious and want to make the most of the opportunity to change employment and career outcomes for thousands of students.
    • As well as experience in accredited learning programmes, we are looking for someone with experience in building and leading successful business development teams in a high-growth, high-performance workplace.

    RESPONSIBILITIES | OUTCOMES

    Lead the Learnership Revenue growth strategy:

    • 10x business growth in first 12 months, targeting >R20million within 1 year, target of R50 Million opportunity pipeline within 2.5 years.
    • Lead Account growth strategy for SA's top 100 corporations and sectors.
    • Ensure ongoing alignment and coordination with Academic Delivery and Student Support Services teams supporting Learnerships provision
    • Lead on the monitoring of Learnership performance against Key Performance Indicators (including retention, Qualification Achievement Rates)
    • Close first two Learnership opportunities (from qualification through contract signing) within the first 180 days on the job.
    • Explore & Identify additional opportunities for B2B growth within existing accredited training accounts through the continued development of trust with partner stakeholders.

    Drive Operational efficiency for all areas of Accredited Training Delivery:

    • Lead on cross business Accredited Training Operational Risk Management and the development of any necessary policy and guidance on Accredited Training which is in line with HyperionDev policy and external regulatory requirements directed by the relevant governing agency (QCTO)..
    • Act as the company nominee and Operational Lead for regulatory inspections or internal audits, working with our own Quality Assurance and Curriculum Policy team as required, ensuring that the institution is prepared for and can meet the requirements of inspections and audits as they relate to Accredited training.
    • Lead on the operational relationship with the relevant governing agency (QCTO), working closely with the key stakeholders as required.

    Drive Cross Functional Collaboration & Expanded Business Support across org:

    • Ensure ongoing alignment and coordination with Academic Delivery and Student Support Services teams supporting Learnerships provision
    • Explore, uncover, and lead any additional revenue opportunities tied to SA Gvt. funding projects – eg: Yes Programmes, Jobs Fundings, Skills Development fund, Special Projects funding.
    • Manage and oversee working relationships with other operational units within HyperionDev - (Enrollment, Career Services, and Graduate Outcomes) to increase B2B revenue and client traction from multiple angles to embed HyperionDev at various levels and within various verticals at our targeted SA corporates.

    Requirements
    Minimum

    • At least 3 years leading a team acquiring and delivering employer partnerships to deliver accredited training in South Africa at the scale of at least >R20mil a year
    • At least 4 years of business development experience as a partnership manager or equivalent in the tech education vertical
    • A deep understanding of the employer learning and development space in South Africa and demonstrable track record of working with employers in partnerships to scale education
    • A deep understanding of the B-BBEE ecosystem in South Africa in relation to learning and development
    • Extremely strong business acumen
    • Highly skilled at strategic analysis, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution
    • Strong leadership and people management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Undergraduate degree in business, management, law or a relevant field

    Preferred

    • Experience working in Jobs Fund or similar government/employer led impact projects in South Africa
    • Experience working with employers that fund or co-fund tech bootcamps
    • At least 2 years leading a team acquiring and delivering employer partnerships to deliver apprenticeships, executive education, or training for businesses at scale specifically for training tech skills outside of the South African Market.
    • Prior experience in a high-growth, tech-focused environment
