    Head of Sales

    • We are looking for a Head of Sales to lead our sales organization and scale revenue to the next level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing a sales strategy and leading a team of Customer Relationship Managers and Advertising Managers nationally. The person should have demonstrated sales experience at a senior management level and be comfortable negotiating complex deals.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
    • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
    • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong partnerships and relationships with customers while collaborating with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
    • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
    • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
    • Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
    • Direct and lead the sales and advertising teams.
    • Analyse and/or formulate sales forecasts and projections and adjust and communicate plans accordingly to the sales management and sales teams to ensure objectives are achieved.
    • Put the customer at the heart of everything we do – thereby improving customer service
    • Setting sales budgets, forecasting and management/exec reporting.
    • Ensure that proper financial controls are in place across the department.
    • Adopt and drive the Group’s Leadership Behaviours as a key member of the Executive Management team.

    Requirements

    • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
    • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
    • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
    • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Relevant business degree
    • Ability to cope with high-stress levels
    • Regular local travel nationally to visit sales teams and customers

    Other Knowledge/Skillset

    • An understanding of and experience at the senior management level, in a fast-paced business environment
    • Self-motivated and highly driven management professional
    • Strong planning and organisational qualities.
    • Analytical and activity-focused with a detailed understanding of what is required to run a large high performing operation.
    • Commercial and business acumen.
