    Head, Structured Debt Solutions

    Job Description

    • To build and lead the debt solution capability within Business and Commercial Banking. 
    • To design, develop and implement scalable and profitable debt solutions; including Term Lending, Cashflow Lending, Leverage Finance (including Acquisition and Mezzanine Finance), Commercial Property Finance, Structured Trade Finance (including Debtor Finance), Capital Structuring and Advisory services across the Commercial and Business segments. To grow the business into a market leader through driving origination and delivering innovative and bespoke lending as well as advisory transactions to meet clients need.

    Qualifications

    • Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce 

    Experience 

    • More than 10 years’ experience in developing, designing and delivering structured cashflow and asset-based lending solutions
    • Significant experience in the structuring of complex transactions, deal making, risk management, developing and implementing business strategies to drive growth etc
    • Leading client engagements and act as the trusted lending advisor and partner by providing expert opinion, insights, advice and best in class solutions to meet the clients needs
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner with client coverage and segments in understanding clients needs and responding accordingly to them
    • Experience in leading high performing teams of specialist dealmakers
    • Track record in building and growing sustainable market leading businesses of scale in assets, revenue and profitability

    • Cast a vision for the business and establish effective strategic plans to drive the growth of the business taking into consideration long-term aspects and market trends
    • Establish and grow relationships with clients in collaboration with client coverage, to entrench Standard Bank as the Banking partner
    • Lead the development of innovative and compelling solutions for clients across the different business segments 
    • Lead the team in a way that empowers and inspires them to put clients first and drive the success of the business
