Health and Safety Officer at Stefanutti Stocks

Primary duties will include:

• Lead the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement in safety and risk management practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Enforce safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
• Identify potential hazards and conduct comprehensive risk assessments to implement effective preventative measures.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness and preparedness.
• Prepare detailed safety reports and maintain accurate documentation of all safety activities and initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Site Team to seamlessly integrate safety into all project phases and activities.
• Conduct safety training and orientation for new employees and contractors, emphasizing best practices and fostering a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 Years’ experience in a similar role
• Must be professionally registered with SACPCMP
• Professional certifications in Safety Management, such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or SAMTRAC, are highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Proficiency in safety reporting and documentation tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying hazards and determining effective preventative measures.
• Valid driver's license
