HRD Practitioner at Samancor Chrome

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To supervise training interventions, identifying training needs assisting the organisation to attain its objectives.

BALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AN QUALITY

• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.

CUSTOMERS

• Ensure customer satisfaction.

BUSINESS PROCESSES

• Coordinate all Training and Development process at TC Smelter.
• Ensure Training matrixes in place for each department identifying training requirements.
• Assist Line Management with the compilation of Individual Development Plans (IDP’s)
• Coordinate training and development of all learners (Apprenticeship/Learnership)
• Coordinate and manage Graduates in training (GIT’s)
• Registration of learners with Merseta
• Coordinate and manage all employees’ training events.
• Coordinate Soft Skills training and monitor progress.
• Compile course feedback reports
• Coordinate Induction Process
• Manage spare shift training.
• Coordinate study assistance for employees
• Drive legal compliance.
• Manage Learning Management System (LMS)
• Ensure all training are captured on LMS
• Conduct general Training administration.
• Compile annual Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report
• Ensure Merseta Workplace approval are in place.
• Coordinate training grants
• Assist with BBBEE reports.
• Report on training stats for Business Unit
• Coordinate the Training Committee
• Ensure efficient application of all Samancor HRD Policies and Procedures and Samancor Standards
• Participate in audits.
• Participate in Training forums

• Demonstrate and apply an understanding of the Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995)

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management / Training and Development
• 4 Years' experience in Smelting / Mining Environment
