    Human Resource Business Partner

    Main Purpose:

    • Responsible for provision of full human resources and human resource support services to all Puma entities of SBO, PSA, Eswatini and Lesotho.
    • Part of the HR team, supporting the development of a robust framework for scalable expansion and integration of the HR function within Puma entities. Ensuring smooth tactical deployment of Global policies & processes within the Cluster, with input in design thereof (e.g. Talent Management &/or Performance Management &/or Recruitment, Benefits initiatives).
    • Partnering with local GMs and ExCom Teams and providing technical HR expertise to promote on-going knowledge and skill development, and team collaboration. Consolidation of HR data and performance metrics for measuring effectiveness of HR initiatives and function in driving organizational performance and containing costs across the countries of SA, Eswatini & Lesotho.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Take hands on approach in the development and improvement of the HR function within the Cluster.
    • Plans, develops and coordinates HR initiatives in support of business goals as instructed by GMs and ExCom.
    • Adapts global HR initiatives as necessary to local organization needs within defined boundaries, and assists local management in implementing by effectively communicating on goals and implications.
    • Provides strategic business partner (part of local leadership team), and field employee/labour relations support to local businesses,
    • Drive strategic people initiatives and programs through the organization and mobilize the management team to excel in the successful execution of people strategy.
    • Interprets and communicates business needs, and identifies or assists in crafting appropriate solutions to meet needs, within framework of Puma global HR initiatives.
    • Promote harmonious and business effective relations with the Trade Unions within the Cluster and employees generally.
    • Provides defined metrics for measuring effectiveness of HR programs in driving organizational performance and containing costs.
    • Effectively Liaises with other Puma HR teams to minimise of duplication of efforts and maximise alignment and mutual support.
    • Provides support to the Regional Head of HR with regards to Budget and Forecast exercises and in ensuring accountability for HR and staff costs within the cluster.
    • Assists in implementing Policies and Procedures across the Cluster.
    • Other HR related functions

    Requirements:
    Mandatory Education:

    • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related areas.

    Experience:

    • Min 10 years’ of human resources management, with increasing levels of experience in a medium to large multinational, preferably in multi-cultural environments.
    • Knowledge of Human Resources related programs, processes, tools, policies and guidelines and their application to complex organizational issues.
    • Knowledge of organizational concepts, including: team management, organizational design, resource utilization and workforce planning.
    • Proven experience in dealing with HR matters related to acquisitions and its derived components for the HR function (e.g. experience in due diligence, restructuring, among others).

    • Fluent in English (local language would be a plus).
