    Human Resources Business Partner

    Job Description:

    The role of the HRBP is to align Human Resources and Logimeter’s business objectives, by understanding the business and ensuring the consistent execution and delivery of all things people. The HRBP will enable Logimeter’s continued business success by supporting the collaborative working environment that attracts and retains the right people, in the right roles, helping them to grow, develop and perform in our high-performance culture. The HRBP will work closely with Logimeter’s leadership team to continue to build our culture based on our strong and consistently applied values and beliefs, and to support the successful execution of our strategy.

    Overview of the Role:

    The HRBP is responsible for providing Human Resources leadership and support to all verticals within Logimeter, including but not limited to HR strategy, change management, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, compensation and benefits, recruitment and retention, learning and development, talent management, employee engagement, culture and ad hoc HR projects. As a member of the Logimeter Operations Leadership Team, the HRBP will help to implement Logimeter’s goals and strategic plan, particularly as it relates to Logimeter’s people needs. They will promote actions and behaviours to reinforce employee engagement.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Aligning all operational aspects of HR, including but not limited to employment contracts, job descriptions, policies and procedures, headcount and reporting (including Employment Equity)
    • Partnering (and executing where required) with leadership on a range of activities, including leadership, capability, performance management, team efficiency and organisational design
    • Utilising people metrics and analytics to develop solutions that identify and address gaps and create opportunities
    • Providing accurate management information and key metrics including recruitment, attrition, employee relations, absence
    • Providing expert advice and support to address performance concerns and issues.
    • Applying a solid understanding of South African Labour Law, and using good judgement to effectively resolve employment relations issues, in partnership with leaders (and external counsel when required)
    • Supporting workforce planning, attraction, identification and recruitment initiatives to ensure that the short, medium and long term needs of the business are met.
    • Advising and executing on performance and rewards planning processes and remuneration activities during the compensation periods
    • Champion an aligned and consistent performance management process and related initiatives. Coach, influence, and work with managers to provide clear goals and objectives, feedback and future career development, on a regular basis (i.e. ensuring employee reviews take place). Coach and encourage employees to set clear goals and objectives, seeking feedback on their development. Support management to take appropriate steps to address performance issues
    • Lead employer branding activities
    • Owning the salary benchmarking and Bi-Annual reporting, updates and validation process
    • Review the best of breed HR SAAS tools and champion the implementation with the OPS Team
    • Prepare and distribute internal HR/people communication
    • Owning employee data and input into the Logimeter BEE certification process
    • Owning the new employee onboarding and exiting employee off-boarding processes

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    • Experience in an HRBP role for at least 3 years
    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Management/Psychology or similar
    • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
    • Up to date knowledge of South African Labour Law, Employment Equity Act
    • Experience in and knowledge of general remuneration principles and methodologies.
    • Change management experience
    • High level of proficiency with MS Office and/or Google Apps and database management.
    • Experience with HR systems
    • Ability to demonstrate high levels of professionalism, customer service and empathy with all levels of employees
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
    • Passionate about all things people
    • Strong analytical skills, with a forward-thinking mindset
    • Results driven, “can do” attitude and resilience
    • Strong delivery management and organisational skills
    • Ability to prioritise and effectively manage many tasks at the same time
