    Human Resources Officer - Kenilworth

    To provide an effective and efficient integrated Human Resources function covering all administrative areas of the Corporate HR Division and support HRBP’s in establishing the Pick n Pay people agenda.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant degree (e.g. B Comm / HR / business / Psychology); post-graduate degree advantageous.
    • 2+ years’ experience in an HR role.
    • Advanced computer literacy
    • Knowledge of the HR component of an Workday Recruitment Platform
    • Sound knowledge of the full MS Office suite

    Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

    HR support:

    • Act as a Liaison to other departments with regards to HR issues to ensure an efficient HR support service
    • Provide professional and technical advice to Line Managers/Staff on the specifics of the HRM functions and regulatory framework and assist employees with queries and concerns.

    Organisational effectiveness and resourcing:

    • Inconjuction with HRBP’s identify vacancies to be filled and execute recruitment for all vacancies in line with recruitment process.
    • Coordinate and support the execution of recruitment and selection activities such as shortlisting,
    • interviewing, compiling final interview summary and conducting reference checks.
    • Assist with Integration of  job profiles into onboarding, performance contracts and development plans.

    Performance and talent management and succession:

    • Actively promote the performance management processes amongst new and existing employees. Communicate performance management process, timelines and templates.
    • Collate information on identified gaps in employee performance based on completed performance
    • appraisal reports.

    Learning and development:

    • Assist in implementation of Learning and Development initiatives in accordance with defined policies and processes
    • Provide input into the identification of needs within operating environment
    • Co-ordinate learning and development events for the division, as required, and participate in the delivery of events as relevant.

    Compensation, benefits and HR services :

    • Inconjuction with HRBP’s provide advice to line managers on all reward policies and practices
    • Assist with Communication of employee value proposition (EVP) and changes to conditions of service and benefits

    Employee relations:

    • Work closely with HRBP’s to communicate any changes in the strategy and advise line managers on changes.

    HR effectiveness:

    • Ensure accuracy of all inputs into HR systems and critical HR metrics, (e.g. time taken to recruit the right people; skills shortages; recruitment costs; post-placement trends; attrition rates; talent and retention issues, etc)
