We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Hydrocarbon Value Chain team as part of our Trading & Shipping function. The role will be based in London. This position reports directly to the Head of Hydrocarbon Value Chain and sits within the Trading & Shipping organisation.
The role has two main areas of focus – optimisation of trading activities and leading the commercial relationships with key counterparties. The successful candidate will have experience of working in the oil market, preferably with knowledge of physical crude and products trades.
They should also be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, together with good presentation skills. A high level of numeracy and literacy is essential, along with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Accountabilities:
Lead all aspects of and optimize trading activity for crude and refined product portfolios globally
Lead and manage commercial relationship with key counterparties
Provide regular updates on performance against budgets and forecasts
Develop strategic plans to enhance the profitability of trading activities
Implement best practice processes across all aspects of trading operations
Monitor exposures and mitigate risks associated with trading activities
Build effective relationships with other teams across the business
Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures
Find opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions where appropriate
Qualifications
Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering
Experience of working in the oil market, ideally with knowledge of physical crude and products trades
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong numeracy and literacy
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving
Willingness to travel internationally when required
